Alllllrighty. Who all will be gettin' paid to play somewhere else?

So far we've got Danny Briere in PHI and last night announced Tomas Kaberle in MTL. Those are the only ones I can think of at the moment that are "confirmed", albeit unofficial.

Komisarek

A quick twitter search says they're considering the same for JM Liles.

Not bad ideas, but it certainly is interesting that the Leafs are making so many moves after the success this year.

I know the Pens aren't either. Honestly there's no contract I would do that to. Fleury maybe, but still...I wouldn't do it. Not like you just easily pick up a new starting goalie.

for Canucks:

Booth wont be bought out because he's still injured

Ballard might be bought out but Aquilini would rather Gillis dumped him to another team for nothing than shell out dollars (... so if he doesnt want to buyout Ballard ... dont even mention the words Luongo and buyout in the same sentence)

Thanks.

I wonder if the Wings will do that fro both Sammy and Bert...

I'm sure that link mentioned it, but keep in mind that compliance buyouts are likely what will be used this and next year. Nothing against the cap, just paying the player.

I heard that Buca Di Beppo experienced a buyout of all their Pasta Fozoul the last time Luongo was in town.

I think they will buyout Sammy, but Bert can still be useful if he's healthy.

Just my feeling, nothing saying it won't happen.

I know Bert can be useful but i would rather give that spot to a kid to help him develop rather than slow them down for one more year. Just my .02

When does Bert go to court?

I've got to believe Buffalo will buyout Leino. Wang better use a compliance buyout on Ricky or there will be a lot of angry Isles fans.

I believe I read that Reiger had no plans on buying out anyone.

Really? That's ridiculous. Leino has been awful.

May have something to do with being injured...

"Another topic looming over Regier's head is the compliance buyout option. Each team was given the ability to use two compliance buyouts when the CBA was finalized, in an effort to help teams comply with the terms of the CBA. Each team has 48 hours after the the conclusion of the Stanley Cup Finals to make a decision on whether they will exercise their buyout option. Regier said the Sabres have no plans as of yet to use the option to buyout a player. However, he didn't back off the idea that if Ville Leino were healthy, he would actually become a buyout option.

"Ville continues to workout and is progressing. I see him every day. He's going in the right direction and at this point we do not plan on buying him out," Regier said when asked if Leino was even healthy enough to be considered a buyout option."

i dont think leino is ever going to be healthy.. i think he's had hip surgery every offseason for the past 4 seasons.

his hips don't lie.
