$200 total cap

You can trade players, money & picks.

Standard teams, 18 for baseball, 24 for football.

Bonds & The Bambino are $30
Any player who's career started before 1933 is $20
Everyone else costs how many seasons (not games) they were an all star

For NFL we use which ever number is greater between pro bowl and all pro.

FOR BOTH SPORTS PLAYER HAS TO BE RETIRED TO BE ELIGIBLE

Willing to listen to an auction draft, but not sure how realistic it would be. It would have to depend on the timing, honestly.

I should be in for this one. An auction sounds fun, but the logistics of it seem like a nightmare. Could potentially take a full day for a single pick.

i have an idea to make the Auction go smoothly...


just remember first, auction is the way we draft... like the snake draft, it is not what the draft is...

we have 4 blocks... end of each block is the deadline for a player...

there are 4 blocks per day, and 2 players per block

we use the same time blocks everyday... so all owners have equal opportunity to get any player... with very minimal complaints...

all players must be nominated the day before player is put into a time block...


with this we have 8 players drafted per day... we have 52 players per team, with 10+ teams that would be 520+ total players... and that will take us 65 days... 13 teams should take 85 days.- just under 3 months...

last draft you had 13 owners and took just over 2 months.... so logistically, the auction is not significantly longer....

We can just say 10 players per day (However many there are participating), I send everyone the 10 player list and you have until a certain time to place a bid on any player(s) You must bid on the player you selected. Also if we do this I can't be a part of it because i'll know the bids.

as long as we know who is nominated the day before, the blocks dont matter... but i like the blocks just so the owners know when they have to be active on the hoop, compared to doing life things.... and sometimes winning one player will affect your bids on another...

so times should be different...

We kinda already did that. It wasn't an auction but y'all sent me a player you wanted each round if nobody else wanted that player that round you got him. Sorta the same. I think we will move away from the auction idea.
