I was thinking the same. They may be forced to keep him at this point. GMs can’t like the idea of redoing his contract for more money, at his age and being out of football for a entire season. Let the Redskins keep him.

It doesn't surprise me. We have the worst front office in the NFL. Rivera and Smith are doing their best to further run the team in the ground. They literally think teams were going to cough up a 2nd round pick for TW after TW pulled the stunt he did. Rivera was supposed to repair the relationship with TW but he has done no better than Bruce Allen. They would rather punish TW than get a realistic trade. So far, the Rivera and Smith clown show has:

Botched the Quinton Dunbar trade
Done nothing to address the 32st ranked offense in the NFL
Had a substandard free agency where they brought in career backs and did nothing to address glaring holes
Now it appears that they have botched a trade for TW

If someone can offer a 7th round pick for Rivera and Smith...Snyder should be all ears. Keep in mind Snyder handed the reigns over to a coach who only had 3 winning seasons in 9 years on Carolina. The Skins might actually be worse in 2020 believe it or not.
