this question has been answered. If a player played 9 games on season and hit .500 they do not qualify for that phase

Nolan seems like one not just us but many in baseball are split on. Some love him some think he's overrated.

I took a long look taking Him

I think Troy for obvious reasons and me rank him higher than most here, he is definitely not overrated. If anything he is underrated in our drafts.

I was referring more to historians moreso

And I agree he's underrated on here. I think the most valuable he's been is when he was in the cap draft

Here's the thing about Nolan...overall record, walks, etc, are knocks against him. But he played on bad teams and often threw 150-170 pitches per game. My thing is, if you pitched him twice in a mock series, he might get you blown out one game, but if he's on the next, it's a no hitter.
Nolan hit 98 once during his final season at 46.
Then there's this...Guiness had Nolan with the fastest fastball at 100.9 but when they clocked him, they picked it up 10' from the plate. Aroldis Chapman now holds the record at 105.1, but that was picked up out of his hand. According to efastball.com, when both pitches crossed the plate, Chapman's was moving around 96.5 while Nolan's was 99.1, meaning, if measured the same way, Nolan's pitch would have been between 106-110
