Yep. We could very well dig a hole too big to climb out of.

with no offense and average to below average pitching at this moment we could easily drop all 4

Murphy in the 7 spot, with Profar, Andrus and Kinsler in the 1-3 spots

Sorry didn't realize Kinsler came back, I was out of town for the weekend and obviously didn't miss much

I'd like to see Murphy out altogether but it's a vast improvement over him hitting second.

Also - Baker is still out nursing his thumb jta.

Sounds like they are working on it with Profar. I hate to see them take the risk of an arm or shoulder injury by putting him in the outfield but if it gets Murphy some time off then it may be worth the risk.

Probably has something to do with the fact that Murphy has been better against RHPs than Gentry or Baker

Murphy ( .210) is be better than Baker (.317)?

This does not surprise me with Murphy struggling and the fact he will be a goner next year. Profar is too good not to be playing up here for keeps. A radio talk show host discussed this possibility two weeks ago after a Ranger game.
It just reinforces the notion that the front office never had any plans of any trade involving Profar whatsoever. Its time to trickle in some of the young talent.

isn't Baker out right now with a jammed thumb or something?

I decided to include the other obvious options, regardless of health, b/c I haven't been able to watch recently and I'm not up to date on my injury list

better against RHPs, Baker does most of his damage against LHPs

Murphy .672 OPS vs RHPs (.204/.271/.401)

Baker .599 (.237/.256/.342)

Gentry .506 (.163/.241/.265)

Didn't say Murphy has been good against RHPs, just better than the other obvious alternatives, and having forgot that Baker was still hurt due to my being out of town, he's been WAY better than Gentry against RHPs this year

Though Gentry offers the added advantage of a vastly superior defense
