Lets sweep them and put them back to 8 games behind us
I would much rather watch the Rangers get drubbed 21-8 than see them just hand the Angels a game like that on a silver platter. At least in the Mariners blowout you can say one guy just had a lousy game, the other team was on fire, and it just wasn't meant to be from the get-go. But games like tonight are really hard to take as a fan when really only one guy on the other team played well, the Rangers had multiple chances to cash in and didn't, and the awful play of multiple Rangers just handed them the game. The two double plays hit into by Moreland were absolute rally killers at the time and inexcusable. He seems to be awful or on-fire and rarely in between. Kinsler's error was also an absolute killer. Without it, Ogando actually finishes an inning without giving up a run, something that lately he hasn't been able to do very often. Then, Ogando gives up the game with the single to Trout (granted unearned runs, but a late-inning reliever's job is to pitch out of jams that others create).
I'm sure the Rangers will bounce back tomorrow, but lately they sure have been finding really boneheaded and unfocused ways of losing. With the sick amount of talent they have, I keep expecting them any day now to snap out of this .500 on-again off-again rut they seem to be in.
I wanted 2 out of 3 before this started. Don't care which was a L.
I expect Yu to come out strong tomorrow.
