not as big of a turnout as I would expect from Texas AM with Manziel being what he is.

It's an Aggie holiday. It's the 1000th anniversary of the first mating of a human and a horse which produced the first Aggie.

I can not imagine that many people are staying home to watch the Masters on a Saturday and not attend their beloved SEC spring football game featuring their heisman winner.

Masters aren't interesting until tomorrow.

1. It's TAMU. 60 percent of their stadium is students.

2. The only people who know a god damn thing about aggie football are people who have followed the Big 12, and most of those people could give two shits about them.

The sad part is this team will be ranked in the top 5......for probably about 3 weeks. They are SEVERELY overrated.

They have the offense to outscore anyone. Their defense will might be the worst of the SEC outside of maybe Kentucky.

Maybe the Aggie fans realized that the Spring Game is a glorified scrimmage, and actually have fulfilling lives outside of being fans?

Just a thought. And they still have a better game day tradition than almost everyone else....especially Oregon. So I wouldn't worry about them. They're doing fine.

I did not attend. I know a few people that did.

I've been debating whether I want to take my 8 year old to a few spring games next year.....I want him to get a feel for every option he's going to have, not just UT.

If I were 8, I would have had a blast going to those games. I hope to be able to do the same when my son gets to be about that age. There seems to be more fan interaction and fun, like a Spring Training baseball game. I'm with you, I'll tell him he can go to any school he gets a scholarship at and I'll pay to send him to any school I can afford...that isn't named Texas Tech :yahoo:

He's only two, but I have always told my wife that when he turns about 8 or 9 and starts getting sports conscious that I want to make a deal with him where we go to 4-5 different baseball parks a year. Figured baseball will be easier and cheaper to get tickets to.

LOL - yeah, OU is out of the question. I will raise no traitors in my house. Rangers tickets are amazingly affordable, but being in Austin, I don't always have time to make the trip. I've taken him to some Austin Toros games and we'll be going to a Texas Stars game, so he can be exposed to more sports.

Last Spring Game I went to was about 4 years ago and it was about half the attendance. 45K isn't too shabby.

I liked what I saw out of the spring game.

Nice to see Manziel work on the passing attack. The scramble is great but without the threat to throw the ball it won't last.

Great work by Brandon Williams and I think Tra Carson is going to end up being the short yardage back.

I think the Juco transfer TE Cameron Clear could be a very dangerous weapon. He's 6'-6", 285 and looked good over the middle. If teams use to contain Manziel and cover the WRs defense that LSU used the second half, there is going to be alot open holes over the middle.

Good to see ya, BTHOtu.

Glad to see you made it over, Droop. Not many Aggies on this site. Hopefully some of the others will follow.
