The main thing I can come up with is because if they block correctly and Kaepernick is accurate enough, he then is a big time load to bring down. That's the best I got.

Kap is being handcuffed. He doesn't look like a QB who has total control of an offense. Almost robotic not playing naturally, doing what the coaches assigns him to do. It's not always a bad thing, but at times you need to just take the key, put it in the ignition and let your skills dictate where you want to go with the football.
