How about Tevin Coleman for our 2nd? He is young (26) and would be a quality starter for us. He can run, catch and will be a 3 down back. 1st & 2nd down play calling will not be so predictable when CT comes in on 1st & 2nd down. Pair them together out of the backfield and you create problems for opposing defenses.

Draft would look something like this to include unloading Cravens:

Round 1. DaRon Payne
Round 2. Tevin Coleman (Trade w/ATL)
Round 3. Alex Smith (Trade w/KC)
Round 4. ILB
Round 4. CB (Cravens return)
Round 5. OLB
Round 6. QB
Round 7. S

I didn't think you would be on board coach but remember this, you will not find a RB with Coleman's credentials in this years draft outside of Barkley. Coleman may be a better receiving threat than Barkley however. A back like Coleman can open up your offense. A back like Coleman can also soften up the defense because of his abilities.

Why wouldnt we just draft a RB in the 2nd?

We could find one cheaper and more likely to be a workhorse back than Coleman.

A 2nd is way too much for Coleman.

FWIW I would be SHOCKED if we could get a 4th rounder for Cravens. MAYBE a 7th.

Hell no. He is injury prone and not that good. There are a lot better prospects in the 2nd than Coleman.

Once you said he was not that good I quit reading. Coleman is a beast dude. We need a major upgrade at the position. Just one of many I guess...

Apparently I think more of Coleman than you. I think he is better than any RB in this current draft
Barkley could be better but we don't know that and we are not getting him either way
Again, I would take Coleman over anyone not named Barkley. He would open up the offense for sure.

Coleman averaged 4 YPC while Freeman averaged 4.4. Almost a half yard difference behind the same line. It never made any sense that he got as much action as he did.

I like Coleman more then anyone responding on this thread.

I wouldnt trade a 2nd for him. I'd consider trading a 2019 3rd round pick for him though, but I doubt the Falcons would go for that.

Do not give away valuable assets for a RB that will cost much more than a rookie, especially when he has proven nothing.
