Terran Petteway projected as First Round pick

NBADraft.net's most recent projection of the 2014 NBA Draft has Petteway going as a late First Rounder.

I am happy for him, but honestly this sucks for us. The experts already know how good he is.....

I hope he comes back next year. Just when we start gaining momentum our best player is gonna have millions thrown at him

You just don't pass up 1st round NBA money no matter what slot you're projected. The risk of dropping is much greater than the chance at rising.

You may have a point there. Miles can use it as a selling point.

I mean honestly when's the last time Nebraska put anyone in the NBA let alone the first round. It stings but better in the long run.


Right and Miles does it year Two at Nebraska. We need a big run, and a win or two In the big ten championship turny. Shut we may go dancing still

He's just such a versatile player. 6'6" guy who can literally run the point or play post.

The only thing that may drop him in future projections is his decision making. He turns the ball over at a pretty high rate and these projections came out before the Michigan game right after he went off for 35 points in Lincoln.

When asked about what he thought about the current projections Petteway said, "some people are crazy."

Tim Miles flat out told him he needs to get better before taking that step.

Sure would be nice to have him for two more years.

I am hopeful that we get him back next year.

If the Spurs really did offer him though, I think it would be mighty difficult for him to turn down an opportunity to head back to his home state and make millions of dollars
