has a home team ever done this "promotion" and not ended up scoring a goal in the game? guess it turns into a post game thing???
In the Saint John Sea Dogs expansion season they had this promotion against the Halifax Mooseheads. The score was about 5-0 Halifax when there was a fight that the Sea Dogs' player won easily. They crew had to come out to clean the other guy's blood off the ice so a few dozen people started throwing the bears at that point. Not exactly what the promoters had in mind, not to mention a bit disturbing. Then after the Mooseheads' 6 or 7th goal everyone else just started throwing their bears on the ice. I think the final score was 8-0 Mooseheads.
