I have now seen either all or parts of 4 games. It really looks like the team is much faster than last year. Coburn has stood out for me with his skating. All forward lines seem to be going at a quicker pace. Kimmo looks like he is in his 20's again.
It's funny but they are a very different team with out Pronger. Not that it is a bad thing, but he can really control the pace of a game. He seems to slow it down and make others play his game. Again, I am not so sure thats a bad thing, especially if we have a lead late in the game.
Zherdev, Giroux, Jvr, Powe, Holstrom and Carter have really seemed to stand out in terms of speed. Last night Leino and even Hartnell looked very fast. On the blueline, all of them looked quicker than last year.
I think a camp and a full season of Lavy is going to work wonders for this team.
