And people won't remember historically good and bad regular season teams forever? The 1906 Cubs, 1962 Mets, 1998 Yanks, 2001 M's aren't forgotten by any means for their regular seasons.

I get the feeling that you like the award winners and dislike giving any regular season points because both of those stances helps the Giants, no?

That's BS.

There are exceptions to every rule (2001 Mariners, 1993 Giants, Pendleton in '91), but there is more credence to individual awards being memorable than non-playoff teams.

Why not go after Milk because counting regular season wins helps the Yanks?

If you choose to make this personal AGAIN, that is on you. Nothing I can do to help you with that. At least I let everyone know where my bias' may be, unlike others on here.

I would slightly change my formula:


Regular season
5 points for regular season division title
3 points for WC

***NEW RULE*** 1 point per WC, 2 points for WC Play-in game
2 points for 100 win season (only 2 because you already got points for division title or WC)
+1 points for every 2 wins over 100

-4 for every 100 game losing season
-1 points for every 2 losses over 100
