I'm really warming to the idea of giving Howell a shot next year and try to fix everything else.

Wait a minute. How is giving Howell a shot next year much different than giving him a shot this year?

Are we saying RR just wanted to save his job for the year and now that he's done that. He's like fuck it. Lets see what Sam can do.

You can't pull Heinicke for an unproven 5th rounder, but if we get bounced early and no one is there that we like in the draft, I could see them giving him a chance. It's really about locker room management at this point with Heinicke.

The team has chosen him for the time being. If we get outclassed in the playoffs and it's obvious
to Ron and THE TEAM, I think it would be much easier to make that move in the off-season and say let the best man win.

I'm not talking about now. The window to play Howell this year has closed or will soon be. I wanted, still do, to see Howell when games were still on the line for teams. But speaking from the perspective you're talking about. When do you propose playing Howell next year? Surely not to open up the season or as long as the Skins have a shot at the playoffs correct. If so, what's the difference from this year. I get why RR didn't play him this year. I just didn't care as my perspective is that of a fan which is far different than RR's as HC.

Just depends who's on the roster and how they finish. If we make the playoffs and Heinicke beats someone in the playoffs.....right or wrong, Heinicke probably gets the bag.

If we don't make the playoffs and Heinicke is a big reason why, I could see Howell and a rookie battle in camp for the position.

So many variables. I know that probably didn't answer your question @Breed but that's the best I could do.

Dont need Wentz at his price. Cut him.

Sign TH to a shorter term reasonable contract: 3-4 years, $30million. Hell, make it all guaranteed. Still a bargain for a qb in today’s prices.

TH and Howell battle it out. Draft another qb.

Draft one every year until you get it right.

Use the money saved to invest in a fucking oline.

The going rate right now for falco is between 16-19 mil as the projections I posted indicate . Way too much to spend .wince is 26 mil and we have a projectEd 19 mil In cap

the draft will be huge and we need to hit on 3 starter at least

I'm not sure I can stomach giving Heinicke 19m. I would need him to win us a playoff game or two before I could entertain that.

If Porter Jr. or the left tacke from Northwestern are there I think I'd have to grab one of them. I want to see what Richardson looks like at the combine.

You could probably trade down and still get a QB if that's what they want to do.

Is Nix or Levis really that much better than Howell. Hooker will probably miss his entire rookie season with that knee, and I think he's what 26?

It's early. Trading down worked well for us last year.

Most of my mocks In the simulator are trade downs unless a porter , Ringo or skoransky are there
