The Athletic's Rhiannon Walker reports Washington slot WR Adam Humphries has "easily" been Ryan Fitzpatrick's favorite target during the first week of camp.​

It's all come in place of Curtis Samuel, who opened camp on the team's PUP list while recovering from a groin injury he suffered in the spring. 28-year-old Humphries does have a rapport with Fitzpatrick stemming from their time together with the Bucs in 2018 when the former finished with an 800-yard campaign. Humphries is expected to be a factor for targets as a last-round PPR flier even when Samuel is healthy and practicing again.

Yes…it is two days.

The idiot who wrote that didn’t look at their time in TB together. If he had, he would have noticed the following:

3 for 27
1 for 8
3 for 30
1 for 0…Fitz was benched at half
1 for 17…Fitz came in the 4th quarter
8 for 82
2 for 53
1 for 39…Fitz benched mid third quarter

This was every reception for yardage in 2018 with Fitz to Humphries. Humphries was much more effective with Winston. If you want a rapport with Humphries…Winston is your guy.

I am not afraid to admit when I am wrong, and I just may be wrong with my concerns over Washington’s linebackers heading into this season. I have been a bit critical of the team’s linebacking...

i like how they think ahead on what type of guys play vs whom

again any 4-6 wr is on the bubble and subject to be replaced

and if he is the number 4 he will have to do something on special teams

humphries happens to return punts and if carter, wright , franklin and milne are cut and /or moving to the PS then guess who is the PR ?

cam simms and harmon play special teams so i dont see how you cant carry 5/6 wrs and have 4 of them not play special teams .

i expect starters wont play special teams but 4-6 had better . i dont think humphries fits in as a gunner

i like how they think ahead on what type of guys play vs whom

It isn't like when we were young and you put your best 11 out there. Now you play matchups, down & distance, who excels in certain situations. That is what good coaches do. In RR and JDR the team has two former LBers .... not name Manuski.

My prediction. Tmac, Samuel, Brown, and Humphries wont play special teams this year and that is 4 my friend. Carter should win the kr\pr battle and be the 6th WR and play ST's. Backup cbs, LB's and safeties will play special teams and the Cb's and safeties will be your gunners.

Way back before the draft my friend dean when you were on your Cam Sims hate athon , I made the statement that ALL 4-6 wrs were subject to being replaced .
As long as drafts and FA’s are around better talent can be found .
So maybe a Milne doesn’t make it this time , but instead goes to the PS , learns the game , and proves himself there , then a humphries or Sims gets the ax . Or we draft a guy , hell AGG could rise after being on the PS .

what I am questioning is carter , Franklin , Milne , Johnson stroman making this team

those are your experienced punt returners minus the aforementioned humphries

I don’t care why carter was brought in , he will have to contribute on offense because his competition, Franklin , Harmon, AGG and Cam Sims as well as Wright can . Milne has to show both

stroman and Johnson are not locks to make this team as DBs
Fuller WJ3, Moreland st juste McCain Darryl Robert’s LC Curl , reaves , everette all are ahead of Johnson or stroman with Apke bringing up the rear

so humphries could very well be asked to return punts

add to it that I am not convinced carter is any better the Franklin as a player
