You left out the part about the coaches prerogative. This is what drives a lot of us nuts about Griffin. He ROBERT GRIFFIN was all in for week 1. He stood at the podium and said he was promised if he did everything he was asked to do he would start in week 1 but this year it is someone else's fault.

Exactly my point. I have said it over and over let go of last year and move forward but every chance they get (especially Griffin) he blames Shanahan again. I don't even care if he publicly takes some blame. Just shut up and play and quit blaming others.

Reminds me of a pissed off chick who sued for divorce, got the house, kids, car and half the pay check... but still cant let it go.

as i have said all along , i will not bust a player out for being all in in week one after an injury like that . i expect that

i wont bust out the coach too much for putting the best players on the field either

but tell me whether or not coach shanahan had final say over personnel matters ?

i dont want to hear about being pressured or controversy's or whatever after AH and DMAC . he , rg3 , bruce allen and snyder all took a gamble and lost when it came to playing him week one

dad, I am not going to go through the semantics of what happened last year for the umpteenth time. I don't care anymore. My beef is EVERYone needs to let it go. We have all heard the old adage "you can't make things better until you let go of the past."

No excuses, just get better. Or as my old coach used to say "shut up and play!!"

I want to see Bruce Allen, Robert Griffin et al to forget about last year and concentrate on this year. That's it. You don't hear Gruden bringing it up. Why can't they let it go too?

Dad seems to forget that. In essence, he was saying that Shanahan would have been a liar if he didn't start him. Could shanahan still kept him on the bench? Sure. But Griffin somehow forgets his positioning and statements all to frequently. He needs to STFU about it at this point.

I think the thing I think about is do you hear Manning or Brady making excuses for everything? When he talks like this I think he sounds more like Donovan McNabb. Hell Jason Campbell who had 8 OC's in 8 years didn't blame everyone else like Robert does.

I don't know how this plays in other parts of the country but people in this area when you listen to the radio, watch TV or read the news feel the same. Just shut up and play. Coming in to work this morning I listened to Adam Schefter detail all the things Griffin did to make sure he did play in week 1. He said the same thing I did. Just play, if you play well it all goes away. I think that is what most of us are saying, last year is done and over ... lets move on.
