if the plays they were getting flagged for were all actual infractions id say ok, but some of these hits are nothing but good football plays. And even when the review ultimately comes back as a confirmation that the refs did fuck up, the defense still gets a 15 yard penalty.

The ejection of that UF player on the first play from scrimmage yesterday sent me on a HUGE rant about how ridiculous this rule is. A lot of the problems can be fixed by also making the penalty reviewable, not just the ejection. That wouldn't have helped yesterday though because they didn't overturn the ejection. Next time, instead of staying high against an elevated receiver, he should go for the legs and upend the kid so he lands on his head and breaks his neck. That's MUCH safer for the players.

Like TomHusker said, give everybody Offense and Defense an air horn to get their attention before blocking or tackling them. If a player is not looking directly at you before the contact, the flag's coming out.

Put the shoulder in the back/rib area and pig drops that ball from not being able to breath. Maybe get a little elbow in the kidney. Your body creates much more force between the hips and shoulders than your head, plus from experience those head to head collisions don't feel a whole lot better for the guy laying them.
