I agree with Clark Hunt.

Statement from Chiefs Chairman & CEO Clark Hunt Regarding 2015 Negotiating Period Ruling
Posted 1 hour ago

“Today we were informed by the National Football League that our club will be disciplined for an infraction during the 2015 free agency negotiating period.

“While we respect Commissioner Goodell and the process, we believe that the penalties proposed in this case are inconsistent with discipline enforced in similar matters – particularly given the league's inconsistent communication of its policies on contact with potential free agents.

“As an organization, we take great care to conduct ourselves with integrity and operate within the guidelines of the NFL. We have been fully cooperative and transparent with the league in this matter, and we are disappointed with the league’s decision. I want to make it clear that I fully support the leadership of both Coach Reid and John Dorsey. We will continue to explore our options under the appeal process.”

- Chiefs Chairman & CEO Clark Hunt

Lots of luck with an appeal! Even with the mild slap on the wrist the Jets got for the Revis case, Goodell will still try to stick it to the Chiefs, especially if he loses the Brady appeal. Mr. Hunt was probably one of the owners who stood by cheering while the Patriots got hammered for Deflategate.

Only the Jets can be allowed to tamper.
Then again there is Jerrha. He can tamper with the best the best of them. Then just offer free transport to the NFL VPs on his party bus.

Tough shit....deal with it. They were actually busted for Tampering. If the NFL gives these picks back, then they have to give NE's back...I hope Kraft is on the phone telling Roger he better not give the picks back to KC

No one is saying they should get their picks back. The point is........The NFL is massively inconsistent with their punishments. The Jets are repeat offenders and got a lousy $100,000 fine for tampering with Revis.

I have seen tons of people saying they should get this yr pick back because NYJ were let off the hook. Like Southie said, the NFL front office are all born and raised Jets fans. That team could tamper, spygate, deflategate, headsetgate all in one game and get away with it.....

Pretty sure the Jets and what they did is apples and oranges compared to what the Chiefs did though. One just made a public statement about how they would like to have an All-Pro player on their team. To me that is more of public speaking mistake just trying to give a player a compliment compared to actually calling the player/agent and beginning talks about signing them before they are allowed to.

CD, the problem is that they were negotiating with Revis all along. Everybody believes what the NY Post writes. They get their information straight from the NFL offices.....guys like Jeff Pash and Mike Kinsler. Half of the people out there still believe that there were 11 under-inflated footballs and they were all 2 lbs or more underinflated.

I haven't seen anything that suggests that they were already negotiating. All I've seen is they made a public statement which is against the rules and were punished for it.

Just like Luck in Indy...nothing will be done....
This is too funny. It's not as if both these teams don't have a history of cheating. Everyday Goodell reminds me why he shoukd be the Sheriff of Mayberry and not Commisioner of the NFL.

The level of incompetence in even pretending to treat all teams equally and with integrity is disgusting.

The NFL is becoming more like Washington, DC everyday. Lying, cheating, character assassination, stealing and just plain criminal activity has become the norm. Anything that threatens it has to be publicly called out and then sprinkled with the magical media dust. Once that is done, the NFL can continue to misrepresent everything and lie and scheme and no matter how often they get caught, the owners will have to back them up because it threatens the ......MONEY........and more MONEY.

Even if it means destroying the people who generate all of that MONEY.

All I'll say is this about tampering.............................If it had been the Patriots who mentioned a Jets player's name in the exact manner that the Jets mentioned Revis, there would have been 1000 threads in SportsHoopla, the name calling and screams for banishment would have torn the roof off. There would be an owners movement to remove Kraft as an owner. BUT, it was the Jets and as far as Roger Goodell is concerned, his previous employer can do no wrong. $100,000 fine......................

The whole thing is a farce......
