In 1941 Alan Lomax who worked for the Library of Congress is in Mississippi trying to find Robert Johnson. wantng him to perform in a roots music thing. Lomax didn't know (no internet) that Robert was dead and been dead a few years. So he leans about a guy over on The Stovall Plantation who can hang with Robert when playing them bllues......McKIinley Morganfield aka Muddy Waters, this was recorded right there on his front porch 1941.....


When Lomax pulled in a big shiny car Muddy ran and hid, thought it was the law over his moonshine biz, ha!
