Talk me out of taking AD #1

So my first draft of the year is tonight, I have the first pick, i'm a Vikings fan and it seems like a no brainer to take AD but I think Doug Martin has 20 TD potential, not sure AD does. AD seems like the safer pick. Can you make a case for taking anyone other than AD?

Even if you wanted someone else you take AD and trade him. There is no real option of drafting anyone else IMO.

Some may take Martin first, or Charles first, or Foster first... but everyone has AP as a very close second or third. Vikings fan or no, you take AP unless you have a strong feeling about someone else. (Myself, I think Martin will have trouble repeating his numbers from last year. That 52-point game skewed everything.)

agree with Tlance, I was just telling the owner in another league how yahoo experts are total garbage, and lo and behold, one of those dbags posts an article telling people NOT to draft the most consistent RB pretty much EVER in fantasy football history.

Only non-top 5 finish, was injury year. Still finished top 10. enough said.

I like Behrens. He is solid. Dalton Del Don isn't terrible either. Unfortunately, Evans and Funston are two of the main contributors and they are both terrible. I guarantee Funston would finish bottom 3 in MBBRL every year, just as he does in Friends and Family leagues.

On a side note, I got a kick out of this from our Y! experts:

Evans recently said that he would consider TRich ahead of AP also. On the consensus ranks, Spiller is up to # 3 overall.

Meanwhile, on Funston's big board, he has moved both Spiller and Richardson down by a bunch of spots. Spiller is #10 and TRich is like #18. It is absolutely hilarious to me that Funston continues to downgrade these guys when everyone else is pumping them up.

I like Behrens. He is solid. Dalton Del Don isn't terrible either.

I like Pianowski but Behrens is ok. Evans is a joke to be honest, not sure how he has a job, I think most could win their league if they just did the opposite of what he says...
