Where does Nebraska finish ranked?

Remaining Schedule-
@ISU
Kansas
@Texas A&M
Colorado
Big12CCG- (Do we win out?) (Oklahoma/Oklahoma State/Baylor?)

-------------------In Our Way-----------------------

1. Oregon (Washington, Cal, Arizona, Oregon State)
2. Auburn (Chattanooga, Georgia, Alabama)
3. Boise State (Hawaii, Idaho, Fresno State, Nevada, Utah State)
4. TCU (Utah, San Diego State, New Mexico)
5. Alabama (LSU, Mississippi State, Georiga State, Auburn)
6. Utah (TCU, Notre Dame, San Diego State, BYU)
7. Wisconsin (Purdue, Indiana, Michigan, Northwestern)
8. Ohio State (Penn State, Iowa, Michigan)
9. Oklahoma (Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Baylor, Oklahoma State)

What games do these teams drop?

-Utah or TCU is going to drop below Nebraska next week because they play each other
-Loser of Auburn/Alabama will drop below Nebraska (when the time comes as long as Nebraska wins out)
-We can take care of Oklahoma ourselves if they win out
-Remember winner of Auburn/Alabama has to play South Carolina in the SECCCG

IMO

I think we finish fourth in the BCS behind Oregon, TCU, and Alabama. I guess Fiesta Bowl in in our cards against Pittsburgh - which puts us at a final ranking of 2. Oregon beats Bama in BCS championship game and TCU loses their bowl game against Wisconsin.

If NU wins out..and is impressive in they eyes of the humans voters.

I think in the final BCS Poll released after the conference championship games, Nebraska will be #3 behind Oregon and Alabama/Auburn winner

A one loss AQ is going to jump Boise, TCU/Utah

basically we need Oregon to lose and/or the Cocks to win the SEC CCG

And be more impressive than Ohio St and Wisconsin in they eyes of the humans and SOS in the computers..

3 BCS components

1. Coaches Poll (human)
2. Harris Poll (human)
3. Computers

The thread was for the end of the season no?

If Nebraska wins out and Missouri, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma all do decent (considering we beat either 1-loss Okie State or Oklahoma in the Big 12 CCG), then Nebraska will have a more impressive resume that anyone in the Big 10 and Pac 10. Of course that is IF Oregon loses a game.

Most of that lies within the fact that neither of those conferences has a CCG, and Nebraska gets that one last knock out punch opportunity to beat a highly ranked opponent on National TV with everyone watching.

Like irule said, we need Oregon to lose and a 2-loss SEC champion. Nebraska's problem right now is the popular vote. It's something we had before the loss to Texas, and now as you can see we only moved up 2 spots today in the coaches poll after beating #6 Missouri by 2 scores.

Boise State and Oregon are the two teams with all the popularity. I think if Oregon loses it won't be enough for Nebraska. A 1-loss SEC Champion would play Boise......I think it would be Alabama.

If South Carolina wins the SEC and Oregon loses a game.........look out, Nebraska could still jump in there with an impressive win in the Big 12 Championship. For our sake, I say we should root for OU to win out until the CCG so Nebraska gets that high profile matchup.

And with all that said........I predict Nebraska finishes #2 after beating Pitt in the Fiesta Bowl.

:L What a sad matchup that is for a BCS Bowl game

I agree with the above and also consider the late loss component. "If you're going to lose in college football, lose early". ala Alabama and Nebraska.

A late loss by either Oregon or Auburn will drop them below Nebraska in the human polls..

I will not be a happy camper if we have to play Pitt...

I know it's sad............but right now there is about a 95% chance I'd say that if Nebraska wins out they will end up facing off with the best that the Big Least has to offer.

Just the way the BCS bids set up........sucks.

7 Wisconsin 7-1 1100
8 Ohio State 8-1 1049
9 Oklahoma 7-1 990
10 Nebraska 7-1 961

Disregard that shit up there. I was playing with it and posted somehow. This is my less cloudy crystal balls below.

1 Oregon - Wins out stays at #1 or 2
2 Auburn - loses to Alabama. Too late in the season drops out of top 10
3 Boise State - Wins out drops to 4 or 5 due to SOS
4 TCU - loses to Utah, drops out of Top 10
5 Alabama -Wins SEC CC against S.Carolina jumps to #2 to play Oregon and soundly pounds the snot out of them
6 Utah - beats TCU but holds position
7 Wisconsin - Wins out Big 10 goes to Rose Bowl.
8 Ohio State - Loses to Iowa
9 Oklahoma - Loses Big12 CCG
10 Nebraska - Wins Big12 CCG

Final Pre-Bowl is

1 Oregon - Wins out stays at #1 or 2
2 Alabama
3 Wisconsin
4 Nebraska
5 Boise State - Wins out drops to 4 or 5 due to SOS
6 Utah
7 Auburn
8 Iowa
9 Oklahoma
10 Ohio State

This is too much after being up at 3 this morning partying. Alabama beats the snot of Oregon and Nebraska or Wisconsin end up #2 final polls.

That's it, nap time

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little pissed off that Nebraska didn't get any love for beating back to back ranked opponents......one of those being a top 10 opponent......both being top 15.

Both weeks we only moved in front of the teams that lost in front of us.
