I see Illinois beating Iowa because Iowa sucks and I don't see any way Michigan loses to Illinois unless they just lay a complete egg. And, I think at this point we want that matchup because a win against Michigan looks way better than a win against Iowa or Illinois

Yea. I agree they aren’t worthy of 8 seed but can see why they are in tournament. They also have 5 RPI top 20 wins, 6 top 30 wins and a really good SOS. They are 6-6 against top 50 and 11-10 vs top 100. Nebraska is 1-5 vs Top 50 and 4-8 vs top 100 with weak SOS. We have better record but also have way less good wins and way worse SOS.

I am 99% sure we’re in if we beat Michigan.

I’ve stopped paying attention to the experts and started listening to Rasmussen.....the actual chair of the committee. His tune is oh so different, and he’s the one calling the shots.

Bill Moos said tonight he’s choosing to take an optimistic view on the Big 10 speeding the season up by 1 week this year. He then said this....

"Because it gives me, and others that may be on the bubble, an extra week to work the committee. And many times they're not answering the phone in another week. But they may be answering it now. And so I'm working on that on a daily basis, and feeling pretty good about things."

I'm not really one to root against other teams. We've had our chances to make the tournament. And still have a chance this week. Winning 3 games is not some insurmountable task. If this team does what they do best, they are definitely better than Michigan. They can play with anyone of the top three as long as they don't fall in love with Jump shots and can give their best defensive effort. And if they can't win a couple this week, I guess playing in the NIT and getting a couple more weeks out of the season would be better than going one and done again.
