Dalton stinks. Leave in Grad. And for the love of god do not put Bernard Scott into the fucking game ever fucking again. Fuck.

Good win, though.

Gradkowski was 5 for 12 with a lucky play that got him 41 of his yards and his TD because for some reason Cleveland's defense hadn't broken their huddle. Maybe they were not done circle jerking each other.

He did okay managing the game, but he was far from okay.

Dalton looked much better than Gradkowski.

+1, not trying to pile on Kramer, I just agree Gradkowski was sorta struggling, now, if he's the starter next week, he'll be more prepared, I hope.

Dalton did not suck. His QB rating was something like 102, I believe. That's not sucking. He certainly knew the pre-snap reads and hung in the pocket. He was much better early on when the Bengals were running the ball.

Don't be misled by the YPC from Benson. Gruden was going to run the ball no matter the result, though I believe he got away from it a bit too much in the 2nd qtr, and early 3rd.

I agree with Crash only on the point that Gruden was committed to the run. Sometimes, you keep pounding away, even when you're only getting 3.4 yards a pop because eventually, you'll get that one run. Cleveland over pursued to the left side of the offense, and Gruden had the right call at the right time. Plus, continuing to run the ball forces cleveland to continue to cover the WR's one on one instead of dropping back into multiple zone packages, which increase the chances for mistake reads and INT's.

Overall, Gruden did a nice job changing things up when he needed to, but getting away from the run for over a qtr was a mistake.

Where was the shovel pass?

First Bengals game in years that didn't feature one. I confused.

You homers are hilarious. Dalton can't throw the ball more than 15-20 yards. He's terrible. AJ Green will be useless with Dalton. You'll see.

No one is saying he's the next Manning. Sheesh. All everyone was saying that for his first game on the road, he did what he was asked to do. Take care of the football, run the offense...he did that.

Dalton was clearly the better QB yesterday. Actually put some zip on the intermediate throws. Still need to see him throw the ball deep but he can be an effective QB. I was pleasantly suprised with him..

No one really expects a second round desperation pick to come in and lead the team to a superbowl, but he may just be a consistent "better than nothin" for awhile to come.

Obviously, there are reasons that he was picked behind several other QBs.

maybe he can improve, maybe not, at this point, the world is his oyster.

I was just happy to see Benson get through a game without fumbling....
