Dalton stinks. Leave in Grad. And for the love of god do not put Bernard Scott into the fucking game ever fucking again. Fuck.

Good win, though.

Benson was dominating and theyveere up 13-0. They insert Scott for some fucked up reason and they damn near blow the game because of it. Scott stinks. Has always stunk. Will always stink. He has no business in this league. Brian Leonard should come in on passing 3rd downs and Benson should be in there every other down.

Up until the final run, Benson had 82 yards on 24 runs for a whopping 3.42 ypc. Not very good for playing "well". He had a solid 1st and 4th quarter. No reason not to switch it up in between, though it'd be nice if Scott was used more in the flats or around the edge than running up the middle.

And not sure what being up 13-0 had to do with Benson. That was mostly a product of Cleveland imploding.

Because they want to carry the ball 40+ times a game if they can, and they are not going to run Benson 40 f'n times man. They wanted to save him for the 4th quartger if they could get up. They were up 13-0 when they put Scott in. They wanted to get Benson a breather so he can carry the load later in teh game. Make that defense chase Scott around a little, get tired, and blast them with Benson in the second half.

Can run the guy every single time we run, he will not make it past week 8.

You also notice, Gruden ran off Whitworth the entire game, grinded it, even when they were stacking there to show them, this is where we feel comfortable running the ball, and then when they needed it..they handoff Benson right after faking run left and Pressley out in front..BOOM..30+ yard TD. Gruden was playing possum like a fighter does. Pretend you have a weakness..keep going there, keep going there..and then when you least expect it..BOOM, they get the left hook and knock the bastard down. Never sees it coming.

If they're going to put Scott in, they have to know how to use him. He's not going to be effective up the middle. Tosses, sweeps, screens, stretch plays. He can't be used the same way Benson is.

I think they just used Scott to continue doing what Benson was doing. Show run left all game long so that the defense would be caught off guard on a run right when needed. It is tedious for a fan to watch, but it seemed it served Gruden's purpose as it gave us the dagger in the heart of Cleveland when needed the most. Vanilla vanilla vanilla...then boom...whatcha gonna do??

You can't set up a gameplan that way, assuming you'll be ahead. You don't run plays in the 2nd qtr, incorrectly using a guy, just to set up 1 play for the 4th qtr. .

Don't be such a homer. It was a good call that worked out very well because it was an obvious run call that was a must stop so Cleveland had no safeties back and loaded the right side. Had that play been run during normal play, it wouldn't have had the same success. Not even close. So, no Gruden wasn't waiting all day to set up the play. His error in playing Scott the way he did just happened to work out in his favor in the long run.

This ^, but that said, he's such an improvement over Brat, it's not even funny. I think he got away from the run a little too much in the middle part of the game, but a huge improvement.

He did it because we were still getting yardage doing it. If we were getting stuffed at the line the entire time, I am sure it would have changed up more quickly.
