So Christian I don't need to Ponder (his future) went 8 for 17 for 58 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs against Arizona today. In the 2nd half alone he went 1 for 7 for 4 yards (dumpoff to Peterson) and was sacked twice. And if you were to say, "Well, maybe the Vikings were dominating at halftime and didn't need to pass in the 2nd half." It was a 14-7 game at halftime with the Vikings ahead.

That illegal touch rule they called in the Bucs game really sucks. DB shoving the WR out of bounds isn't illegal contact if the QB is out of the pocket? I don't get that. Too easy to just push the WR out and make him ineligible, though a smart play by the DB there.

Once out of the pocket, the QB becomes a runner, the defender becomes a blocker and the WR becomes eligible to be blocked - even out-of-bounds.

Just seems to me that if you're pushed out of bounds and get back in as quickly as possible, you shouldn't lose eligibility. I'm sure there's factors I'm not considering though.

I'm not so sure I disagree with you - but I can understand the slippery-slope and the subjective distraction to the officiating crews that the absence of having the rule can create.

Around midfield the Patriots just converted a 3rd and 8 on a quick WR screen to Welker for 21 yards. I told my brother sitting with me that it's going to Welker on that exact play. It was the longest play of the day for the Pats.

Oakland finally may have woke up. Burris sacked Henne for a 10-yard loss and Jacksonville will have a 2nd and 20 upcoming.

They did rule that Hernandez was down at the 1. No fumble.
