There is no defense for the guy running across the field. Nobody had any idea what he might be planning to do. That said, it should have been left to security.
Do the same thing to a guy jumping the fence in your yard and you will be facing the charges.

I still remember when Matt Cavanaugh of the Patriots took down a streaker at the Superbowl. Apparantly the police and the officials were just going to let him run around.

They should make it a Turkey Shoot, using rubber bullets.
