but just saying that even though we are in the top 8....half of our wins came via the shootout. we are 6 wins behind the pack if we end up in a tiebreaker situation. yeah i know super early but still something to keep an eye on

In all honesty, I'd like to win in regulation, but who cares. Stay in it, teams will start to fall off after the New Year. Injuries and depth issues start to come into play later on in the year and I have a feeling the Devils are far better off than others. Considering all that has gone wrong for us (Parise/Kovy not finding their games yet, Zajac/JJ both out, new coach etc.) I'd say we're in pretty good shape.

4 Wins, but who's counting. I'd be more worried about hemorrhaging those extra points to division opponents. Just need to get some guys back healthy IE THE TOTAL PACKAGE. Then we'll be fine.
