The refs aren't helping the Jets very much.... Horrible PI call early in the game.... Horrible call on the Cutler fumble that should have been a touchdown.

The Bears always seem like a team that should be much better than they really are.

An early look at the lines for week four tells me I won't be nearly so active........the lines, they are a'tightening.

Back for week five. No plays last week because when I was trying to get into the site the server was down. So 10-8 for the year going in, +173. Each play will be to win 100 units except for any money line dogs, which will be 100 units to win the line. Here we go.

1)Ravens +3.5 (-110) Got this one early, and since the line is down to +2.5 --- There is only one stadium the Ravens have failed to win a game in and I expect that to be fixed today. Defense is the difference here.

2)Bengals moneyline (-125) Bet this one earlier in the week too. Now at -150-155 most places. Seems strange to say this now, but all the noise about the Pats' demise has to be taken with a grain of salt. The Bengals are simply the better team now, and look better at nearly every matchup than the Pats now.

3) Bengals/Pats under 46(-110) Pats struggling on offense so I expect them to play conservatively and play to their defense. Marvin, being Marvin, will be gladly willing to go along. The winner here may not hit 20 points.

4)Saints -10(-115) Saints always tough at home, have regularly cover double digit spreads. Tampa coming off the big upset over the Steelers in Pittsburgh going on the road for third straight game.

5) Falcons +4.5(-110)---Giants recently have struggled as home favorites, Falcons have struggled on the road. Expect a high scoring game here.

6) Lions/Bills under 43.5 points (-110) --- Both defenses playing well, Bills' offense struggling, change to Orton should make no difference here.

7) Chargers -6(-110) Jets secondary porous, Rivers is hot. Jets stop the run, Chargers won't try to run without their top 3 backs, anyway. Geno Smith sucks. Potential blowout here.

8) 6 point teaser Sea -1 to SD pk (-110)

9) 6 point teaser Dal -.5 to Den -1.5 (-110)

Just funnin' ..... I bet $25 per game at the start of the season. I start with 50 units. As the bank grows I can up the bets, or if I lose all 50 units I just stop betting for the season. I have never gone busted, but there have been years I lost as much as half the bank. I also bet college football, NBA, and baseball. Don't mess with CBB too much. Over 300 teams to keep up with. Too goddamned much work. Besides NBA offers nightly action for a solid 4 months every year. I usually don't start until January on NBA, so that the league has enough time to show what it's about. I start May 1st on baseball, which is the easiest game to beat with statistical analysis, especially on the pitchers.

My figures on my bets here in this thread show results if I was making $100 bets. I have done really well on CFB (up more than 20 units) so far this year, but that isn't reported here.

Just wasn't interested in straight bets today. The only games that caught my attention are the heavy road favorites, so that's why I went with teasers. If you put a gun to my head and forced me to bet straight, I would play Den -9, San Diego -7 and Baltimore -3.5............good luck today....
