Defensive tackle Stephen Paea has agreed in principle to a four-year deal with the Washington Redskins, according to NFL Network and CSN Chicago.

He and Ego were two guys I liked at nose tackle, but 20 million dollars to get 20-30 games out of 64 was too much. I doubt he finishes it.

Yea, good luck to him, but he doesn't work in this new scheme... In fact, I'm not sure what the Bears are going to do with Sutton either.

Sutton is a 300 pound pass rushing specialist defensive tackle. Sounds like a perfect fit for the DE spot, everyone keeps saying our ends are too small to play the 3-4. Put Sutton, Ego and Houston with their hand down, Shea and our new guy, or our new guy and Beasley or Fowler Jr and thats one hell of the front 5.

There was nothing wrong with Paea at nose tackle, coming from his draft scouting he showed strength being an anchor against smaller college linemen, they didnt think he could do it with the bigger pro's. I guess they didnt expect him to get bigger like the offensive linemen.

I like Paea. One of the guys I was hoping would stay, but Pace and company are in a position we're they have to be smart with every dollar they have. Fine with the move. Stephen Paea will not make or break this defense, and his production can likely be replaced for a cheaper price.

WAS is switching to a 3 4 and wanted Paea because he fits their new system. Were switching to a 3 4 and don't want him because he does not fit our new system. What am I missing here? Now I don't really care about the player either way but this is confusing me.

Because Vic Fangio doesn't think Paea can be the defensive end he wants in his defense like the no name coach in Washington .....fucking simple
