Steelers @ Patriots pre-game thread

Is this the game when the Steelers wake up and put a damper on the Pats shaky but so far successful season? Pitts record at Gillette with Brady as QB is nil, but I have my doubts regarding the laws of probability.
Presumably, the Steelers run D is pretty bad and the Pats run game is decent, but it seems they don't use it a lot. I predict a close game decided by Pats D and STs, again.

What's your take?

Brady has not been the Brady of old which is evident with the amount of Brady posts in the forum.

TBH I expect a really hard fought game that will be fairly close..as in within a TD for either team.

And the Steelers must be really pissed off after an abysmal start this season. I think the game is pivotal for the Steelers: Was the start of season an anomaly or are they really that bad this year?

I could get Sunday Ticket for $150 bucks but spending $150 for a game that I can only watch at 2:00AM is not good. I get most of the games on AFN (usually replayed) I just can't get all. Of the 8 games so far, I've seen 6.

Streaming has not been successful so far. I have a new internet provider and I'd like to try again. Got ideas? Please post them

Dude, you don't know about vipbox DOT tv? Try it. At first you're going to think it doesn't work because of all the popups. Exit out of all those (on one of them there is a TINY x in the top right corner) and keep refreshing until the stream starts. Sometimes it's first try, other times might take 10 tries.

Has worked great for me when I needed it.

Is your weather good all year long on Okinawa? You got any good diving there?

I just include the cost of that into my yearly budget Streaming is last option and most are crappy signals.
With Sunday Ticket, when I'm not home, just program to tape game.

You make a good point on cost, especially when several Pats games are broadcast on major networks every year, so the cost per game is steep. But nothing matches having the access to game in HD with the click of a button.

Okinawa has beautiful weather all year. Some complain about the heat in the summer but I came here from the middle east. It will be 80 and breezy here today - not bad for November!

The diving is world class here. The coral reef surrounds the island or you can drop off the edge. There are dive boats that go out to the oulying islands too. Visibility is always perfect. Spearfishing is discouraged with Scuba. Want dinner? Time to freedive.

I agree with you on this one hammer. It makes me sick to watch the Pats waste drives pretending all is hunky dory with Brady "passing" the time away. It's obvious his targets are new and that he is off on some throws, forget the drops, all teams have that.

People have said, "but the running game was not an option" in the past few games for the Pats, regardless of the fact that they have averaged more than 4 yards per carry. I don't know what game those people were watching, the Pats have a solid stable of RBs, even with some out because of injury.

Maybe I have but the play calling has been relied more on the passing game. Who knows, maybe they are getting in reps in real time to season the rooks a bit

If NE does not run the ball, and Pitt does, I see Pitt winning this game. I agree with Hammer(odd), but if they try and pass all day, forget it. We have to get the run game going. We also have to stop the run game for Pitt, which is going to be hard, esp after the last 2 weeks. Gotta get pressure on Ben so he can run into some sacks. I see a low scoring game. 17-14 type.

I hate saying it, but this Steelers team is just not good...at all.

Outside the standard "any given Sunday" thing, I just don't think they have much of a chance on winning this.
