@FaCe-LeE-uS... Good find as always.

Wow...63 is young.

In 2000, my mom passed at 67, so I know what that's like...you don't expect to lose a parent, a sibling, etc that young.

RIP Bennie C.

Steelers cut Wilcox after drafting two safeties

Steelers release J.J. Wilcox after picking two safeties in draft

The Pittsburgh Steelers released veteran safety J.J. Wilcox on Monday after selecting two safeties in this weekend's NFL draft.

The Steelers selected Terrell Edmunds in the first round (28th overall) and Marcus Allen in the fifth round (148th overall). The Steelers also signed safeties Morgan Burnett and Nat Berhe in free agency.

The Steelers created $3.125 million in salary cap space with the move.

Wilcox, 27, was acquired by the Steelers in a trade last year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who had signed him as a free agent. In his only season in Pittsburgh, Wilcox appeared in 12 games (one start) and finished with 12 tackles, one interception and one pass defensed.

He spent his first four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, playing in 58 games (38 starts) and recording 214 tackles, five interceptions, 15 passes defensed and two forced fumbles.

How the hell did my link end up with that?
Oh well it was really around the Ben comments:
Ben Roethlisberger Surprised By Steelers' Mason Rudolph Pick
FUnny thing is I knew exactly what you were referring to.

Ben has a point about the "how does this help us win now", but the way he worded it screams insecurity. I get it Ben, you're a competitor, but a lot of these comments should have been kept behind closed doors.

Tomlin's kid got an offer to his dad's alma matter. Wonder if he'll become a KAP as well?

The reason why Bill Cowher will never coach again

A $100m contract like Gruden got could probably pull him back in. I don't know how anybody could refuse that. It would probably still take a contender with an ideal situation for him to be completely convinced its worthwhile. Highly doubt he would want to come in to a team and start from the ground up.

Under the radar hire:

Steelers hire Fisher as a scout

IIRC, Doug Whaley (former personnel coordinator for Steelers while Fisher was here & former GM of Bills) plucked this guy off our staff to help build over in Buffalo. Fisher was given the boot after 3 seasons ('13-16) then Whaley shortly after in 2017.

Edmunds - 34
Washington - 13
Rudolph - 2
Allen - 27
Okorafor - 76
Samuels - 38
Frazier - 69

If Ridley gets the boot then Edmunds will take 22... Guaranteed
