Only $12.4 under the cap and you still need to fill out the roster and sign rookies. Any team that offers Wallace a front loaded deal has a very high percentage of giving you guys their first round pick. I'm thinking you will have to cut Hampton.

Steelers are now much closer to 20M under than 12M under
Cutting Hampton will give them room to match any realistic offer for M60W
Harrison can be redone as well to save probably 2M in cap space.
They will end up around 27M under most likely

Based on what Kovacevic said you would be closer to 20 after you cut Hampton.

I have no desire nor never implied that the 49ers should make a run at him. We won't have the cap space when we finish re-signing our guys. Cinci on the other hand...

Interesting. I'm not sold 100% on keeping the blocking scheme, but that may be the best option given that 3/5 on the line are crap and seem like morons to boot. There may be no alternative there until they can be replaced. I'm not worried at all about BigBen learning a new playbook. The majority of his success the last 3 years has come from

1) improvising when play breaks down
2) calling plays himself out of hurry up/no huddle

I think for all his off the field idiocy, he actually has a pretty high football IQ at this point and will adapt to a new playbook quite readily.
