They might have one. They held one after winning the Pres. Trophy then loosing to Anaheim in the 1st round. To his credit Wilson has never been one to dodge media or fan critisizm. You don't always get a straight answer from him but he's been willing to sit there and take the heat.

We can only hope the ownership group has a clue about hockey and decides to pull the trigger on firing Wilson and bringing in a GM who emphasizes toughness.

I would predict that there will be one... unfortunately there will be two things that will suck about it:

1. the inevitable irrelevant questions about sharks ice in oakland, or the new boards, or some shit like that which will inevitably lead to a 15 minute answer filibustering about crap. This is as much the dumb fans' fault as it is it the panel.

2. Dougie will point to the final 4 games as a sign that with a healthy lineup, his team is good and that the struggles with injuries will be a big part of it. Blah blah blah...

Dougie will talk about how he brought in PK specialists up the ass but how either a. they didnt have time to get into the system, or b. St louis just played well and beat em.

What we would not hear is:

1. Failure of the coaching staff to create an effective system, not only on the PK, but in general.

2. Failure of patty marleau and his lack of fire, once again, aside from the usual "I coulda done better, but I'll be back next year" or "he may not seem passionate but he is" bullshit.

3. We have no farm or even solid NHL quality guys under 25 years old (excpet for cooch) because they were all dealt. OK, maybe nieto, abeltshauser, moffie, or hamilton can become an NHL player, but not next year and none of them would be in the top 50 prospects in the league, I believe.

Basically, exlcuding the totally irrelevant and incredibly softball questions that are always asked, there will be the 3 or 4 dingers which will be addressed with "We are not satisfied. changes will be made, but we will be back next year, better than ever."
