Starting to get really excited about Demarcus Lawrence

Really like what I am reading about DLaw this summer. He is the guy no one is talking about on the national scene, and he's going to take a nice leap forward this year. The defensive line, in general, is going to be a major strength for the Cowboys this year - especially once Hardy hits the field.

It's amazing how fast a unit can turn around with just a couple solid drafts. Dallas has completely overhauled both lines in the last 3 years. Can't wait for training camp!

He showed signs of potential at the end of the season. Still did not like the trade up but that was a clutch play against the lions. I think the key is adding hardy and Gregory and keeping everyone fresh. Mincey is also decent. Gregory to me is a freak.

Yea, definitely think DLaw outproduces Gregory this year. I think Gregory is going to be a work in progress this year. I would like to see him in an Aldon Smith type role. Just tell Gregory to go get the passer on obvious passing downs. On passing downs Dallas could be running Gregory, Hardy, Crawford and Dlaw out in the same front 4 -- that gets me excited. With those 4 and a guy like Mincey on the bench this D-line rotation is going to be deep.

Bold prediction: DLaw has 8+ sacks this year.

On passing downs why wouldn't you? I'm not saying our front 4 is comparable in terms of overall talent (at least not yet), but the Giants of several years ago would routinely put 4 pass rushers out on the field together - and did so with great success.

Because with that light of a line teams could run on some "passing" downs and pick up very nice yardage.

That could happen on any "obvious passing down" regardless of the personnel on the field, if they all have their ears pinned back to get to the QB. If it's me, I'll take those chances to increase my pass rush in a pass happy league.

And really, you would still have 3 of your every down lineman on the field. I don't think it would be too detrimental on 2nd & 3rd and long.

I play golf twice a week and just finished coaching my first grandsons' T-Ball team. I do okay.

IT'S THE SHIT TALK on forums this time of year that makes me lone for football, but thanks for your input
