Got up at 3 am to start a pot roast. Since 6 its been impossible to sleep since the whole house is starting to smell delicious.

I am going in the other direction today ... Dutch oven cooking:
I just trimmed and cut up the chuck roast for beef stew with garden fresh veggies and am making some cornbread to go with it.

Firing up the smoker to finish a ham I've been curing for 3 weeks. No game today since the Vadgers are ducking my Huskers. Might watch the Fighting Gundy's whoop up on Tejas.
