It absolutely was his sister-in-law (Melanie's brother's wife). They were all living together after Melanie gave birth in 2002.

On Quicks glove save I think in the 2nd I think (and some others) swore we heard Emrick say scoree even though Quick made the save. Was I imagining that or did he really make that call?

Imagining

Re-watched the NBC feed, it was in the 3rd period 13:04, Devils on the PP Kovy on a drop pass from Sykora shot in between traffic and Quick tracked it down in his glove. Emrick does indeed say score but then changes to save right after.

I think Doc's age is starting to catch up with him. I notice he misreads more plays than he used to, constantly says the wrong player (mixes up numbers), etc. Getting old sucks.

Good point...I do notice he often corrects himself on players he see's or flat out gets it wrong.

Bob Miller is starting to do that as well. Kings need to win now before Bob is too old to know what is going on.

I noticed the same stuff with Doc. Noticed it somewhat with Lange too, but that's why they moved him to radio anyway...a senile Lange is still eons ahead of Steiggy.

"He's a great goalie. I think right now we're making him look a lot better than he should be."- @LAKings Drew Doughty on Brodeur #StanleyCup

Wow...talk about a back handed compliment
