I hope we get neither unless the price is right which neither will be. I rather get 5-6 good priced free agents then 1-2 expensive free agents.

I would love that. Sproles would be huge for this offense. He shouldn't cost a lot. On the other hand Talib is going to get 9-11 mil a season.

Ritz... come on man. Its the redskins. You know deep down, there will be at least one FA (not one of our own mind you) that we will sign to some serious cash that we will all scream about.

I don't see either. Talib will get too much from another team that thinks they are one player away from a SB and Sproles is not the same player he was a few years ago. He is the type of FA we used to sign, one past his prime and we pay a bunch to. Look at his stats last year, they are way down, half of what they were a few years back.

Sproles adds nothing to our team wouldn't make any sense to sign him

Except the fact that he is still a dangerous and decent return man, as for Talib I don't want him..why over spend on a player that is injury prone?

He is not the same anymore you could tell last season it would be completely stupid just to sign him to be a return guy

Sproles is the best 3rd down RB in the NFL. Great hands and can return. How does he offer nothing? No LB or S can stay with him. Huge mismatch in the passing game.

Sproles is 30 and didn't look very good last season would be an absolute stupid signing when the Redskins have more pressing needs

I think Sproles is still a great back, N.O simply found a way to use their other backs more. Also he hasn't carried as much as the usual RB and can be used on special teams. The only problem I have with signing him is, I think Morris and Helu have not been used nearly enough in the passing game...and the new regime may have something there.

Sproles is 60 catches per season. Look at what Woodhead did for the Chargers. Sproles makes the offense better. How could you not like this signing? Look at what Gruden did with Bernard. Sproles would have a huge season in this offense.

NO to the F"N NO he is not gonna come cheap and they have way too many holes to sign a 3rd down runningback

Why wouldn't he come cheap if he's as old and washed up as you guys are saying??

nobody is saying he is washed up and he definitely won't come cheap the Redskins just have way too many holes to invest in a 3rd down back

If there are any "true" rumors about guys coming here, they won't be cheap. Why would a FA sign so quickly if they were coming in cheap?

Sproles is a shadow of his former self. If Sean Payton can't find a way to make him effective, nobody can.

Talib...Injury prone, problem-child, and over-rated. Yep...he's coming here.

Sproles is still one of the best in the league at what he does. Cheap he would be well worth it.

The is a situational back and is 30 years old, so I am not what you mean by "not cheap"?? I say he can be had for a few mill a year. This isn't Peterson we are are talking about.

EDIT: Just looked it up, the Saints let him go to save 3.5 million in cap space. That should tell you something about his worth to them and anyone else. 2-3 mill a year on a short term contract for someone with his skillset is a goo deal IMO.

He may not be washed up yet, but he is heading that way. Just look at his stats. He is still dangerous as a 3rd down back, but his return yards are way down. This is the type of player vinny would have signed. Pass
