Guess it's a lot easier to get big crowds for a spring game with the weather down South. And the lack of anything else to do in places like Fayetteville and Auburn.

With you Tiger... Auburn may have a ton of people there, but it doesn't even rank come regular season vs. Death Valley.

I figured Aurburn paid another player and everyone was out to get a glimpse to see what $180k bought.

:) Sorry, couldn't resist.

they're full of it. Although I did watch some of Bama's spring game and they may have had over 70k there for sure.

Yeah, these spring games have turned into dick measuring contests on who can inflate the numbers to most. If Tenn were any good, they would probably tout how they fill up 117k in their stadium.... :)

No brah, we had 78,315.

UW had a mixed bag in my opinion. Keith Price was ok. No INT's or anything and a few of his misses were dropped passes that should have been caught. Miles was the best of the backups, but you could see why he isn't quite ready for prime time either. He missed some shorter, easier passes and didn't look nearly as crisp in decision making as Price.

Still, the story of the event was the defense. They clearly out shined the offense and that begs the question: Did the defense really take that big of a step? or is the offense still that far away from firing on all cylinders?

The LB's played hard, made tackles, and all but dominated the middle. Didn't see them give up anything on the outside either. Sankey only ended up with 11y on the day and Taylor had 47.

As for receivers, Kasen had 1 catch for 30y on a really nice shoe string sideline catch and that was all he got. Sims had 5 catches for 53y. Looked like there were some nice coverage schemes most of the day. There were a few guys open here and there that either the QB missed, or didn't see, but that is always the case in every game. I would say any question about the Huskies secondary with their youth was put to bed at least for the spring.

We did see some of the hurry up, but I think it was the game plan all along to not use all of the weapons they have been working on. They want to keep a lot of it hidden until the opening game.

Overall there weren't a lot of glaring mistakes, but they didn't look like a conference wrecker either. It will be interesting to see how much progress they make in the fall and how ready they are to run these new schemes come game day August 31st.

Wiz,

Kasen should really break out this year with huge year huh? Come draft day looks like Troufant might make the 1st round after all... Where is Wazzy when ya need him to rub it in... What are we gonna go come September with no WSU fans to flick shit too? I guess a Buff fan hangs around here . Guess he may get some flack. Gotta give it to him for havin the stones to be on the CFB boards. Cant wait for CU to get back to relevance whenever that may be. PAC will be better for it...

Watching the Badgers on the B1G right now....

With additions of Nebraska and Rutgers and Maryland, there are too many red & white color schemes in the B1G.

While watching the Wisconsin Spring game, I realized how sharp the Badger QB black jerseys looked. The jerseys featured the red 'W' on the upper arm, and three white stripes on each shoulder. Very nice:

I would like to see Wisconsin add black to their official university color scheme, and transition to these black jerseys permanently...after all, it would more closely resemble our little badger buddy here....especially with the three white stripes on the shoulders signifying the white stripes on the badger head:

Additionally, for away game uniform pants...the Badgers could utilize black pants with three white stripes down the side.

Again...too much red & white in the B1G.

Kasen and ASJ will both be part of a passing game that should score huge points. They didn't let the first units go long in the spring game and they said they were only doing vanilla offensive plays to keep what they are working on under wraps. The one catch Kasen made was a highlight reel kind of catch. I just hope that what we saw out of the defense was a sign of them making that next step.

As for WSU you know I don't hate on our lil brothers up here. I have family that went there and only really root against them one game a year. Of course I laugh when they coug a game. This board does have a few WSU fans from what you see on their favorites lists.

Wazzy was just a 'special' kind of poster. I pretty much liked most of the regulars from over there. Really didn't have any trolls in the Pac thread. The one we will miss is Wallace. Never had any freaking idea what he was going to say next, nor if you would actually be able to read it.

You know, for as many people that love black, it is really under used in college sports color schemes. Now, as for Wisconsin, I don't know if they will go with black color, since they most copy Nebraska. Maybe if Nebraska uses black for an alternative uniform, then maybe we will see Wisky do the same.

I have a tale about encountering a badger that I will save for another day. It's a heavy story.

Here are some better shots of the Wisconsin black QB jerseys...what do you Badger fans think of them?:

Iron Horse, yes...one day you will have to share the badger story.....since you're actively communicating, I'm happy you survived the encounter with the badger.....and I hope there wasn't too much psychological damage deep down inside you (no recurring badger nightmares).

Peace.
