This is a lame one. Cam Newton had one of the most dominant seasons in history and took a run of the mill (and Gene Chizik coached) team and won a national championship. Meanwhile, Ingram didn't even deserve it in 2009. One of the most undeserving Heismans on this list. Suh was the best player in college football. Golden Tate had one of the best receiving years in recent memory. Gerhart was a flat out better running back than him (that year). CJ Spiller had more all purpose yards and touchdowns. Kellen Moore was a god of a player that year. 3500 passing yards, 10 yards an attempt, 40 total touchdowns, only three interceptions, took his team to an undefeated record and whipped the Pac-12 champs like a red-headed step child. And Tebow and McCoy both had phenomenal seasons. Ingram got it just because he was the best player on the best team.
