Using the AP Top 30 as my pool of nominees, and comparing how they've played against each other. Having quality wins is considered more important than quality of losses for teams with same records. One-loss teams get nod over 2 loss teams.

Is GT ahead of Washington just because theyve played more games? Because if GTs win over basically winless Western Carolina is ignored, then they are both 5-2 and washington has better losses.

Yeah, I gave them the nod for having the extra win. The last couple of spots are a total clusterfuck, as UGA (losses to 5, 14) and Ariz. St. (win over 20, but loss to unranked and 7) are also right in there.

Southern Mrs lost to Marshall and has only a win over SMU to counter it.

Cincinnati got blown out by Tennessee and has no quality wins

neither belongs in the top 25

but there aren't many other options either

I think this is the first time my poll wasn't on the first page

lets see what I have

1. Stanford- first real test of the year and they just dominated, the scary thing about this team is it seems like they haven't shown all they can do yet. You know what, I just noticed the run Stanford has done, they deserve a number one ranking by someone, guess I'll be that guy. Alabama won't be missing it anyways.
2. Alabama- struggled for awile with Tennessee but took care of business in the 2nd half.
3. Oklahoma State- they're in the drivers seat to make a championship spot, handled Missouri, their defense might actually not be too bad, best defense Oklahoma State has had in a long time.
4. LSU- dominated Auburn, mainly on special teams again.
5. Boise State- struggled against the triple option offense, I personally was disappointed by the performance so we don't move up despite two teams in front losing.

8. Clemson- blew out North Carolina completely, major test against Georgia Tech, remember the other team they've played that runs the triple option offense was Wofford and they nearly lost to them.
9. Oregon- 45-2 was the final result, LOL@ 2. that's how badly Oregon dominated, the two points seems like more of an insult than anything to Colorado.
10. Arkansas- struggled badly with Ole Mrs
11. Michigan State- first team that I thought was overrated to prove me wrong, as a reward they jump over 20 places.
12. Wisconsin- before last night they seemed like they had no weakeness, now they seemingly collapsed
13. Texas A&M- struggled early but dominated Iowa State
14. Nebraska- bye week
15. Oklahoma- losing to Texas Tech suddenly changes my perception of this team, against Kansas their offense struggled with accuracy and got burned by the deep pass, but luckily Kansas's quarterback overthrew it every time. Texas Tech fully exposed those flaws.
16. Virginia Tech- surprisingly trailed at halftime, dominated the 2nd half
17. South Carolina- bye week, I almost forgot about them
18. Georgia- bye week
19. Penn State- keeps winning
20. Texas Tech- big win over Oklahoma, it will be interesting to see how they follow it up though. But of the two loss teams they have the best win.
21. USC- they...beat......Notre........Dame
22. Baylor- bye week
23. TCU- blew out New Mexico 69-0, and everyone else sucks so they're ranked again
24. Texas- another bye week
25. BYU- they're on a roll as of late, haven't lost since their epic collapse against Utah, plus eveyone else sucks.

Others that were considered: North Dakota State, everyone else completely sucks
