Spider-Man 4: Brand New Day (2026)

The fourth MCU Spider-Man film, subtitle not yet announced Brand New Day, is scheduled for release on Friday, July 31, 2026, following Avengers 5: Doomsday and preceding Avengers 6: Secret Wars.

The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker / Spider-Man.

He will be joined by Sadie Sink, best known for Stranger Things. Who she is playing has not yet been revealed, but leading candidates include:

- Angelica Jones / Firestar
- Felicia Hardy / Black Cat
- Gwen Stacy
- Jean Grey / Phoenix
- Kitty Pryde / Shadowcat

More out-there suggestions include:

- Alana Jobson / Jackpot
- Carlie Cooper

- Mayday Parker / Spider-Girl

Mary Jane Watson is not on the list because Zendaya is already playing the MCU's MJ. Similarly, Liz Allan and Betty Brant already have MCU versions.

Pretty sure you were asking that rhetorically, but for anyone actually wondering, Sadie Sink isn't Mary Jane because Zendaya is already playing the MCU's version. Similarly, some other Spidey supporting female characters such as Betty Brant and Liz Allan can be eliminated because they also already have MCU versions.

But Zendaya is not playing Mary Jane Watson... just MJ... forgot her full name in this... but they can easily go away from Zendaya... not saying they would, since Zendaya is probably the biggest young actress out there right now...

it would be silly to have two MJs at the same time though...

I can see her play any of those... would love a Kitty page centric X-Men over a Jean Grey and Cyclops centric X-Men... but are they introducing X-Men in spiderman?? that seems like a weird place to do it...

i highly doubt it... Gwen stacey doesnt play well in a world with MJ... if zendaya is in this movie... then having Gwen would be painful...

i like the idea of Black cat... she doesnt look the part... but the character fits the spiderman world best...


But i would love her being kitty page... sure, again, she doesnt exactly look the part... but that is more simple change... but again, i dont know why they would bring in X-Men in this movie... but maybe she could act as the easy transition...

This adds weight toward the theories of Sadie Sink playing either Jackpot or Carlie Cooper, who were the female leads in the Brand New Day comics, or Teresa Parker, who was the female lead in Most Wanted.

I have seen a theory of Negative Man with Mephisto making an appearance as well (Sasha Baron Cohan has already been cast as Mephisto for the MCU)

what if spiderman was the bad guy in the movie?? the movies have never done this, but the cartoons of course did... how his mutation sometimes turns him into a spider monster...

sure, there would need to be a big bad, i could see doc conors...
