The fourth MCU Spider-Man film, subtitle not yet announced, is scheduled for release on Friday, July 31, 2026, following Avengers 5: Doomsday and preceding Avengers 6: Secret Wars.

The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker / Spider-Man.

He will be joined by Sadie Sink, best known for Stranger Things. Who she is playing has not yet been revealed, but leading candidates include:

- Angelica Jones / Firestar
- Carlie Cooper
- Felicia Hardy / Black Cat
- Gwen Stacy
- Jean Grey / Phoenix
- Kitty Pryde / Shadowcat

Mary Jane Watson is not on the list because Zendaya is already playing the MCU's MJ. Similarly, Liz Allan and Betty Brant already have MCU versions.

I could see her getting a big role, so I can see Jean Grey, but how are they going to tie Jean into a Spidey story? And conceivably, before the X-Men are introduced?

Pretty sure you were asking that rhetorically, but for anyone actually wondering, Sadie Sink isn't Mary Jane because Zendaya is already playing the MCU's version. Similarly, some other Spidey supporting female characters such as Betty Brant and Liz Allan can be eliminated because they also already have MCU versions.
