I didnt like Emo peter parker... But the rest of the movie was ok.

Reasons for this is as I stated Emo PP. they chopped off Venoms balls they tried to humanize Sandman to much ohh he is really not that bad just misunderstood. That and Spiderman 2 was as good as a superhero movie that your going to make so it made the follow up seem worst.

I liked it better than the 2nd. Not sure why everyone liked the 2nd so much. It was too similar to the 1st for me. A genius in Parker's life has good intentions but his experiment go wrong and turns him into a villain with super powers. Both 2 and 3 had over the top unnecessary cheezy moments though. I liked that Spidey had to battle 3 villains but then eventually managed to convince 1 to team up with him against the other 2. I also liked that for once 1 of those villains was actually a dude with bad intentions before acquiring his super powers.

It mostly boils down to Venom being a total badass in the comics only for him to be pretty fucking lame in the movie. Plus, they spend way too much time with emo Peter. It's just not a good movie. There's too much thrown into it for the new characters to really breath. It would almost be better if they made it a two part movie with Sandman/EmoPete/Blacksuit Spidey in the first and then full fledged Venom in Part 2. Hell, maybe even give the fanboys something to jerk off to by making it a 3 part movie with Carnage showing up in the last part of the "symbiot (fuck spelling) trilogy".

Amazing Spider-Man did it right and will continue doing it right! I hope to see Carnage one day (although I'm not sure where he fits in the Amazing story line). I completely agree with WildTurkey.

probably in amazing spider-man 3. jim carrey has been linked to playing him. i think it would be great, considering how he knocked out the riddler

Spiderman movies are old hat now. They should have spaced them out a few more years between them.

Eh, Spider-Man was always my favorite superhero, and they're doing different villains with the Amazing Spider-Man so I don't mind. I grew up watching the Amazing Spider-Man cartoon so the new trilogy (I'm guessing) is great to me.

I used to rush home from school when I was a kid to see Spiderman. But I stay away from these movies because I don't like the way they did the first one. I didn't like any of the actors/actresses or anybody else and I didn't like the way it was done. I thought it sucked.
