That's a pretty solid roster right there.

I'm not sure how I feel about established NHLers taking the place of lesser known guys in the Spengler though. It's usually kind of fun to see a career minor-leaguer or a past-his-prime kind of guy have a huge tournament.

where Joe Thornton cemented his status as a clutch playoff performer. the Spengler Cup.


seems odd that you can basically build a team just for this tourney.
Schneider was playing on a shittier Swiss team, but will switch clubs for the tournament.
a bunch of those Canadians are basically showing up for the tournament, too.
