Scot Mc could come out on Draft day and take Bobby Boucher at #5 and Jimmy Dix QB in the second round.... and the world at large would proclaim our draft a smashing success.

I get the feeling that because SMs evaluating talent skills are so well regarded in NFL circles, you may be right.

And if in 3 years we've had some significant hits via the draft, we will all be on board.

He can't take Boucher. He was drafted by the Raiders in 1989 but never made it to camp as hIs lawn mower broke down somewhere in Arkansas.

i realize shark that schreff fans and the olb fans will fight on draft day and the wr'fan will be in the'mix so no matter who we pick at 5 least 75 percent skins fans will be pissed with the'first pick

probaly the only way all the skin fans are happy is skins trade the 5 th pick for more picks if not therer will be more people hateing the pick at 5 then liking it no matter how you look at it

A trade down will only work depending on what we take and what we address. If we trade down, take a Pass Rusher, WR and a Safety with the first three picks, and then grab a bunch of projects for the line as I suspect... I for one might not be to thrilled.

Yep. Not all picks are going to Be winners. I have high hopes for SM but don't expect perfection from him in the draft. Just better football players than anything we've seen in a hell of a long time.
