Also both won SEC Championship in 2n year and lost the SECCG to Nick Saban in 3rd year.

Richt would have been in the playoff if it was around his 2nd year. And I think they would have beaten that Ohio State team in the semifinal before getting destroyed by Miami in the NCG.

Stop it. Smart is doing just fine. Before last year, UGA had not played for a natty in almost 40 years...

Beginning to think, like Richt, he can’t win the big game. Will always be a runner up type coach

Dude is only in his 3rd year and played for the natty in his second year. Plus his team is the only squad in that overrated as fuck conference that doesn’t piss down their pants when they play Bama.

His team's have played poorly or give the game away the last three important games they've played

It's not like UGA was trash under Richt. UGA would have gone to the playoffs in 2002 and 2007 were the playoffs around then. And I think UGA would have taken the title home in 2007, as they were pretty clearly better than LSU and Ohio State (but the BCS moved them down in ranking after they beat a ranked rival by 14 since at the time, they insisted you had to win your conference to be eligible).

Hard to tell at the moment who is better.

Smith's mouth and whining cost him against Texas though.

I can understand the need to defend your team, but you have
to temper that when you have another game in front of you.

UGA was nowhere near prepared to play that football game last
night, from a mental standpoint.

Texas never got the memo that they were supposed to lose.

Smith has some maturing to do.
