always a tough game in toronto. didnt get to watch the whole game but i thought andy greene looked so bad in that final goal. he just sat back he didnt challenge the play and let him throw it in front. ive seen more and more defense around the nhl slide get down do whatever they can. cant say the same about the devils defense.


overtime was pretty sweet.....loved kovalchuks rush to get the puck in the zone. good win and 2pts on nyr

I hate when they give up the goal to tie it so late..I usually expect it but I didnt last night , and boom Kessel puts it in to even it up.

I'll take the 2 points though.

Greene made the mistake of assuming that play was done. I guess he expected Marty to cover it or Elias to clear it, but yeah that was bad.

With each passing game our forecheck looks better and better. Prior to that tying goal, the time we were killing just by cycling and keeping the puck in their corners was a thing of beauty. Those are the types of things that will win us playoff games.

How often have we as fans sat there and watch the opposing team tied it up under a minute to go against us?

Is there a stat as how much goals we've given up with under a minute to go? it wasn't a 2 goal lead, it was one.... that kind of sh*t needs to stop.

yeah i saw that with elias. just wish green got down to block the pass but like someone said i guess he thought the play was going behind the net.

giving up the late goal seems to be a thing for the devils but with the firepower and the way the team is clicking now i still have faith that they will be able to get the goal in overtime even come playoff time. i just hope that doesnt put them in a false sense of security.

watching the highlights after the game just shows this team can be a solid playoff team. the transistion is so quick and they jump on everything coming out of the zone. i'm not worried about parise/kovalchuk line just have to make sure the 3rd line keeps doing its job and sykora chipping in on the second line with a timely goal is always huge!
