High character, high work ethic, team captain players. And just some straight up football players. The athleticism isn't as good is the big difference in the later rounds but you can still get some ball players

I like scooby wright and Blake Martinez. Billings would obviously be good. Cash, Kenneth Dixon, Zettel. I don't know many other players but this is where Scot shines.

I have no expectations. I have listened to Scot since he came here and IMO he has stayed true to what he said from the beginning. He told us from the beginning he wasn't going to draft based on need, he was going to draft good football players. When you draft based on need you risk picking lesser players to fill spots.

I expect Scot to drop back at least twice today. That is my only expectation.

Bingo. Nobody wanted to fill these huge holes more than I did. I spent a month discussing those needs and possible replacements. But if SM drafted a center, NT, and FS with his first 3 picks he obviously passed up better players and that's not how you build a football team.

Just keep drafting football players Scott and let the coaches sort 'em out from there.

Wanted the Skins to go d-line heavy but it is amazing how much faith we have in SM. They haven't picked one d-lineman and I genuinely am ok with it because i Know SM will figure it out. Getting three first round talent guys with the first three round works for me.

I would like us to snag one or even two running backs. There are a few good ones still there Booker, Dixon, Collins, etc. and I just don't trust Matt Jones. Still want some d-line help but I think SM will find some under the radar guys that will shine.

At some point we have to address our weaknesses. We will have to draft a RB and NT at some point. Scooby Wright would be fine.

I am looking for a RB, NT and developmental QB. There again, I would not be surprised if we draft another CB, WR and Strong Safety.

Scot has been true to his word and taken the BPA with every pick. Expect that to continue. Which means we may go without drafting a DL or ILB. He views the draft in longer terms. The draft is not used for filling immediate needs per se. I wouldn't be surprised to see us pick a TE, OL or RB with our remaining picks. There is a pretty good blocking TE still available (kid from South carolina).

Ok, so if the draft isn't used to fill immediate needs (I agree somewhat with this), then don't you have to rely on free agency to some point? If we have abandoned utilizing free agency (which most posters want on this board) then when do you compete as a team? Outside of Norman, we didn't sign a free agent starter and if this draft class is not going to fill needs, then what in the world are we trying to do?

We have to break out of the cycle of "rebuilding". We have been in a "rebuilding" mode for over 10 years and enough is enough. Its a losers mentality to always have the idea that next year will be the year. I am not advocating Vinny style free agency but using a smart free agency approach allows you to build through the draft and use the draft to address immediate needs.
