That is Edler's fault, you can't check a goalie. That said I think it was worthy of two minutes not two games. The calls that goalies are getting this year are freaking ridiculous.

Goalies are hockey players and hockey players are tough; therefore, goalies are tough as well and should be fair game. If goalies aren't fair game, we are going against everything Darwin has tought us by impeding upon natural selection and survival of the fittest.

I never understand why you can't touch a goalie out of the crease. Obviously you can't kill 'em or anything, but that's not some atrocious hit. 2 minutes for roughing, and it's over. Still can't get over the Nash hit, then you see that and just scratch your head.

I used to do the same stuff when I was a young netminder. I took the "Belfour move," as I called it, in which he sprints out to meet the offensive player and slides through their feet. I took the between-the-legs stick lift from Patrick Roy. I even took the fighting of Chris Osgood. Looking back, goalies get away with almost anything.

What goalie didn't have substance abuse issues? Kenny Wregget, Marty Brodeur and CuJo were always my favorites. Kenny spends his days sitting in his garage drinking beer all day (awesome guy though), Marty's womanizing has been noted and CuJo was so messed up his stick was backwards for a third of each game. These were my heroes.
