So What Are We Hoping For In The Draft

that we trade down and take Brandon Schreff, Dante Fowler or Andrus Peat or are you hoping we stay at 5 and take Vic Beasley, White or even Danny Shelton

I'd be surprised if Shelton is the pick at 5. What I hope they do is trade back to 13 or so, take a RT like Peat, and then find the pass rushers and reciver later in the draft as it's deep draft for those 2 positions. If they stay at 5 my preference in order is Cooper, Beasley, then White. That is assuming Williams and Fowler are gone.

I like this thread because I still would like to see Shelton here despite FA. Of course I envision that with the 5th being traded and us landing another top prospect.

And if that sounds stupid, there are tons of experts mocking Mariota at 5, despite RGIII on the roster.

If Gruden and the few inklings coming from SM are to be believed, Roy Helu must be replaced with a significantly higher skilled player in order to improve in pass pro and receiving. Somewhere early on I expect the team to address this in the draft. This team absolutely cannot go into TC with what is there now. While Redd is interesting and Thompson poses long term questions, I don't believe that either gives comfort in their abilities to become the answer at RB.

Yeah I agree. Redd is just a guy and Thompson has not shown in 2 years that he is the answer either.

I'd like to see the Oline and DE/OLB addressed within the first 2 rounds. Obviously there would have to be a trade down somewhere in the 1 or 2 to make this happen.

Since there are so many holes, I don't expect 1 draft to 'fix' this team.

Wouldn't mind pickups like RB Pierce or C Wiz to fill out the roster post draft. I expect there are a few other players that SM has in the back of his mind to bring in as well that might come from the undrafted pool..like QB Connor Halliday perhaps.

I'm incredibly excited to see what SM will do.
